This week's blessings

Ok, I must admit that this week I have found it quite tough to see the blessings through the muck. It just seems like it was a long, "blah" week. It took a while, but I was able to count my blessings this week.

- The boys and I spent a gorgeous day at the zoo with my mother in law. Not only was the weather beautiful, but the animals were all active and fun to watch. Going to the zoo never gets old for us, and it is nice to be able to share our enjoyment with others that don't get to go often as we do.

- I am thankful for a washing machine so that I can wash my son's poopy underwear. Ok, ok, I know, that one is a bit tongue in cheek, but I'm trying to find the humor in the seemingly constant lumpy underwear.

-I am thankful for my cousin Michael who through his business was able to hook us up with a fantastic new mattress set for a great price. I had been waking up every morning with a sore back and had been tossing and turning to get comfortable. Last night was our first night in our new bed and I can't remember the last time I slept so well.

-We are also blessed that Shawn and Carrie were coming to Calgary this weekend and were able to deliver our new bed from Edmonton. Without them we would still be a few weeks away from a good night's sleep.

-I am blessed to have 2 beautiful sons. As frustrated and tired as I can become with them, I must never foget how thankful I am to have them. They make my life complete.

It is at the end of a hard week that it is especially helpful to stop and look for the things we are thankful for.

Seems a lot of folks who do this had a hard week last week. (including me) Strange.

I'm glad you found 5 things to count as blessings.
